Drums please! We take you now to deepest Los Angeles for Milk Crate Mondays very first release on wax. That’s right folks, the good people at Milk Crate Mondays have finally unleashed a heavy dose of soul power on the masses. Known around those parts for their celebrated wax only nights which they have been running since 2017 and there’s no hint of a slowdown. The crew are fully aware that vinyl is king when listening to music in order to pick up on any frequencies, vibrations, fingers slides, deep breaths before the vocal run and things of that nature that we get on a full blown analogue stereo sounding vinyl but miss out on a digital file. For their debut forty-five, they enlist producer DJ Abel who on ‘Doin’ Time’ turns the burners up, rearranging the key elements to breath new life into the track that the Long Beach band he samples would surely approve of. On the flip, we’re talkin’  twisted-grime-n-gritty-head nod heat. This fresh refix begs a play on a big system (with a beast of a funk motor).  Step forward Milk Crate Mondays.
