With a flurry of new releases hitting the record bins of late, it’s easy to get caught up in it all but one release has caught our attention here at 45 Live HQ. The label is Village Live who in the past we have given some kind ink to, thanks of course to the choice pedigree funk and hip hop that this label is building on with each release. On this occasion, Village Live proudly present Delu Kanam’s debut release entitled ‘Mafaro’. Led by label producer, multi-instrumentalist and DJ Matt Davies AKA Dirty Hairy, this ensemble’s infectious African groove shines through. It’s pure dance floor heat that will live long in the play box. ‘Mafaro’ boasts some tightly crafted grooves, on point horns, along with ruff and tuff drums that are ever present throughout the track. Watch this one blow up this summer and watch out for the Delu Kanam debut LP that drops in the summer.
