Never mind the copious amount of chocolate headed your way this weekend, we have a real treat in store for you, dear reader, thanks to DJ DSK. We have great pleasure in unwrapping this bumper forty-five that once again gives us the belief that DJ DSK and his series of edits is where to head to if the dancefloor faithful aren't shufflin' the way they should or are directing their eyes at the screen in their hand for an obscenely long period of time. This carefully selected clutch of reworks from the man will work wonders on the dusty dancefloor and give it that 'Mr. Sheen shine' post lockdown on this his sixth release in the 'DNA Edits' series.
First up we have the instant classic from one of our favourites Patrice Rushen and her dreamy mid-tempo burner 'Remind Me'. The utmost respect is given to the original production and our man gives this one a warm bump in all the right spots for a whole new legion of disco-hungry fiends.
On the flip, the tempo is turned up several notches on 'Knee Deep'. We could swear that DSK had an apprenticeship on the Mothership because he knows his way around this funk motor and knows just what makes her purr. He tweaks the engine for that instant dancefloor appeal that is designed to shock and awe.
