Fusik, from Florida, have been active for just over 10 years and have certainy honed their craft, you can hear their BBoy grounding in the way this track in particular in arranged, it has a structure of joined up breaks from start to finish that's aimed squarely at the dancefloor. 'Desert Night' is a real crisp, polished and super tight groover that has echos of The Doors with those delicious organ licks, and I can hear a cheeky Eastern flavour in there too. The flip 'Santi' is an altogether breaks heavy winner, kinda jazz/rock/fusion/funk, a real singular melting pot. Nice!
