I had the pleasure of doing a warm up DJ slot for Jungle Fire in Bristol a few years back, and then caught them again live in Los Angeles earlier this year as they warmed up for Quantic. And boy oh boy, Jungle Fire are really one of the best live bands you will see, the energy, enthusiasm and sheer perfection they all exhibit is utterly infectious, there's zero chance you'd be sitting down in front of this band of afro Latin wielding masters! This new record, the first a for a good while, perfectly captures the intensity of a live show, a juggernaut of a rhythm on 'N.U.S.A.U' whilst for me, the 'LA Kossa' on the flip cuts through as the real gem. Dropping the tempo a little, but getting so much funkier with a rock solid bass-line underpinning the horn stabs and riffs and psychedelic guitar. Wonderful stuff.
