Matasuna Records continue to give the people what they want in this hour of need. You may think we are dramatising a smidge but we are dealing with what must be one of the greatest and most important releases this year. Belgian jazz-funk pioneers Placebo remain such an iconic group due to their phemomenal output and on this release Matasuna cherry pick two cuts from Placebo's 1973 long player. True visionaries of the scene, Placebo set the mood on 'Polk' with their special blend of jazz-funk and on 'Balek' the voyeuristic Belgians charter new psychedelic territory that sample spotters will nod their heads to in recognition.
