David Hanke aka Renegades of Jazz has a new 45 coming in March, with pre-orders now, and for those that like tropical grooves this is a no brainer. David grew up in Tanzania so this is somewhat a return to the sounds of his childhood. The B side, 'Pounding Song', very much has shades of Quantic about it, especially in the guitar and overall production, this shuffles and bops along with an uplifting yet subtle chorus. The A side 'Afro Cookie' doesn't yet have a listening link of Bandcamp, so can't comment on that! Taken from his forthcoming Afro album, this 45 increases my eagerness to hear more. Good work sir!
