Dynamite Cuts are not letting up, and arguably this is the most dynamite cut so far. Stone cold classic rare groove of the greatest kind right here with the club classic 'Got To Get Your Own' getting the 45 reissue treatment. This did actually come out officially on 45 back in the day on a UK issue 7" with long and short versions, and was/is an expensive dig. For me personally, 'Got To Get Your Own' completely embodies rare groove, the perfect combination of soul, jazz and funk, uniting in a furiously funky uptempo slice of musical gold which has constantly been in my playbox for the last 26 years, no lie! What makes this 45 extra special is the addition of 'Tight Money' too, this was also a big spin for me on the LP during the 90s, a real bump n' grind funk jam that will drop into my 45 sets and stay there. It sometimes feels like Malachi at Dynamite Cuts has been round my house and picked out all my favourite records to put out on 45, so I have a few more suggestions mate...
Utterly essential is the best way to describe this one.
