The difficult* 2nd album is out of the way, and The Allergies swiftly move on to LP no. 3 from which this single is taken from. The A side 'Can't Keep Working This Hard' featuring vocalist Honey LaRochelle is classic Allergies, tight production and slick arrangement with added live instrumentation from saxophonist Mr Woodnote. The tough beats will satisfy the heads whilst the vocal pushes it into a more mainstream radio audience, so no doubt this will be heavily rotated on BBC 6music. Hit the flip for another collaboration with MC Andy Cooper, an uptempo jazz break with Andy delivering in double time makes this a double sider 45. (and in time honoured tradition, it's all about the B side for me). Looking forward to the new LP, and pretty sure there will be another 45 (or 2) taken from it.
