Oh boy! Strap yourself in for a real treat for the ear canals because when it comes to hip hop, it’s origins and everything that that entails, the Omniverse label are always on point. With every release they seem to have perfected the right formula for exactly what DJs, breakers and beat heads are yearning for. On this release, inhouse production power crew Visioneers have delivered some future classic tracks for the heads. This latest Visioneers project from producer Marc Mac lays bare their love for golden era hip-hop through the LP 'Def Radio' released at the end of 2024 through Omniverse. Both 'What It Mean' and 'Today' are featured on the LP but on this release alternate 45 versions are featured. First up we have the maginificent 'What It Mean'. Rapid fire drums, b-boy friendly bongos and a funky bassline set the pace. On the flip 'Today', the crew immerse from the lab with a beautifully constructed homage to the original track but with that signature Visioneers sound applied. Pure fire! Serving as a timely reminder of how these things are done right, Visioneers crew are back! But please don't take my word for it.
